This next exercise is another fun way to work on balance skills in a cooperative group environment. Have one of the children stand in the middle of the group hopping on one foot. The other children are instructed to try to push the hopping youngster off-balance in a challenging but not too forceful way. They must keep in mind that their turn may be next. This forces the hopping athlete to constantly regain their balance and is both an effective strength and skill developer at the same time.
